Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows

Just finished reading it, I know its fast but i only had a day to read it because exams are coming!!! I would post a review but it would contain spoilers which is bad since a lot of people hasn't read the book yet. All I can say it was a little bit anti-climactic but still bloody good! Oh and haha to you MPH customers who pre-ordered and paid RM109. I got it on opening day at Tesco with no line for RM69.90. SO HAHA lol. Just joking, blame MPH for them being stingy.

Oh Me God its Spiderman fighting Zombies!

helooo...exams are over... woot i shall now give my review about two movies i recently watched which are Spiderman 3 and 28 Weeks Later (hence the lame title)

First up Spiderman 3:

The blockbuster of May... besides Pirates of the Caribbean of course...So much hype.. even burger king was selling spiderman merchandise. If you dunno the general story of Spiderman 3, it goes something like this:

The highly anticipated third chapter of the popular Spider-Man series sees Peter and Mary Jane finally together, but three new enemies, the Sandman, Venom and Spidey's old enemy, the New Goblin, his best friend, Harry Osborn, threatens the lives of people close to Peter. (taken from imdb.com)

that's the general story here is my review (spoilers)....

It started out great, i liked the opening credits, they showed like a recap of spiderman 1 and spiderman 2 since Spiderman 3 is so called the last movie of spiderman, but i doubt it as long as the Spiderman series makes money the movie studio in this case Sony Pictures will continue making them. Anyway, the movie's plotline was great on paper but they didn't execute it well. The main problem was too many villains!! New Goblin, Sandman and Venom. If i was the director i would kick sandman out seeing as he didn't really have a big plot line in the movie. Even his plot line in the movie was cliche. Oh dying daughter, oh life of crime because i have no money to help my daughter. Even in the comics, sandman was only a minor villain. New Goblin and Venom on the other hand had a good plot line to go with. New Goblin's plot line was already established in the previous movies so Sam Raimi (the director) didn't really need to say more about that and he could have focused more on Venom's story. Venom is by far one of the most bad ass villains out there. He eats people's brains in the comics for crying out loud. He shouldn't have died in the end. He could be one of those arch enemies that spiderman keeps running into. On a good note, the special effects were really really good especially the ones involving sandman. Very realistic, very cool. I really did enjoy movie just thought the storyline could have been written better. I give it this movie a 8/10.

P.S. Peter's I'm-so-cool scene was really corny and funny lol

Second movie i watched was:

28 Weeks Later

(spoilers)

For the record i hate scary movies, really hate scary movies. I mean i can take blood and gore, its the jump out of the closet and scare the pants of you part that i don't like. But i liked 28 weeks later. Oh i still hated the scary parts but i loved the storyline. What would happen if an entire country was infected with a virus that made people extremely violent? And the scenes where the showed a deserted England was pretty cool. Oh and a few things were funny which the director forgot or because he wanted it to be more dramatic. Why weren't the soldiers wearing helmets? They said a "US-led NATO force was sent to help" But then all the soldiers were American but isn't NATO is an international organisation? Isn't it strange that England's neighbours France and Germany didn't send anyone. Haha maybe the actors couldn't put on french accents. Anyway i give it a 6/10.
